Late 2011, my Wife Sarah was invited to Teach a Beginners Hip Hop Dance Class at Camira State School, for the Students to perform at their end-of-year Christmas Concert. So we thought we’d do the whole thing properly and began Sarah Morton Dance Choreography. To help with the process, I took some Promo type shots to advertise with. At the time, this was my first real ‘studio’ type shoot, so it was a bit of a learning experience, but I think we got there in the end. Below are some of my favourite Photos from the day:

My First Puppy Photoshoot! This is Pippa, she is about 11 weeks old. The Shoot was heaps of fun, however Puppies are actually quite difficult to Photograph as they rarely want to stay in the one spot for long! We managed to catch a couple that turned out great. Here are a few of my favourites.

My first Photoshoot of 2012 was with Gavin, Eva and their new Baby Elliott. Elliott would have normally only been a week old had he arrived on time, however he decided he’d surprise Mum & Dad early, so he was already a few weeks old for this Shoot. This was only about my 3rd attempt at a New Born style Shoot, but despite Elliott’s best attempts to make the shoot as long as possible, we managed to get some great shots. Here’s a few of my Favourites.

On Sunday I made my first trip to the Roma Street Parklands to take some Family Portraits of friends of ours Casey & Laura and they’re new Baby Lucy! We had to be quick to catch Lucy, as she was more interested in the Camera itself, than having her Photo taken. Haha. However, I ended up with whole bunch of great Photos! Here are some of my Favourites.

As part of the Sprung Hip Hop Festival, the Real Talk Battle League held an ‘MC Throwdown’ on the Second Stage at the Festival. I did my best to get a few Photos of the Heats & Finals in-between the Main Stage Acts. Hosted by Dwizofoz, there was some awesome talent on display, but crowd favourite Kudos topped Triple Nip to take out the Final. Other acts on the Second Stage included DJ Katch, Lazy Grey, Pure Product & more! Here’s a few of my Favourite Photos.

Saturday marked the beginning of something BIG! The first ever Sprung Hip Hop Festival was held at the Brisbane Riverstage! It was also the first time I’ve Photographed a Music Festival! The star-studded all Aussie Line up included such artists as DRAPHT, ILLY, PEZ, 360 & more! It was a massive day, that almost didn’t make it all the way through – thanks to some crazy Weather - but luckily for all involved it cleared up and kicked on. Even though I couldn’t convince them to give me an AAA Pass (Acess all Areas), I managed to take heaps of Photos! I’ve had to split them into 2 Albums (Main Stage & Second Stage). Here’s a few of my Favourites from the Main Stage.

Rebecca contacted me a while back about taking some Family Portraits that included 3 Generations! Young Dominic called the shots on the day, as most kids do, but he was great fun and everyone was very easy to Photograph. We managed to get plenty of Photos, but here are a few of my Favourites:

I’m currently in the middle of changing to a New Website and Hosting Plan, where I’ll have the ability to sell Photos Online! During the Transition, a few of my Links may not work, but everything should be up and running again soon. In the meantime, checkout my new (95% Finished) Site at www.joshuamorton.com.au or as always, my Facebook Page wil still be regularly updated with any new Photos!
Bright and (too) early this morning I tagged along for my second Bodybuilding Photoshoot. After a lot of hard work, persistance and dicipline – Michael braved the freezing cold winds to get some Photographic Proof of his hard work!
It’s not hard to take good Photos with subjects like this, but here are a few of my Favourites:
