Over Easter weekend I had the pleasure of Photographing the Wedding of Dan and Tracey, at the Daydream Island Resort and Spa in the tropical Whitsundays! This was only the 4th Wedding I’ve Photographed but they were probably the most relaxed Bride & Groom I’ve ever met, who would be happy with only a handful of Photos of their Special Day. However, despite time not necessarily being on our side, it turns out we got plenty! Here’s a sample of my favourites.

Recently I Photographed my first Group of 12! (even if 2 of them were only a couple of months old, haha). It’s a little tricky working with larger groups – almost like doing 2 or 3 mini-shoots at the same time! But my job was made a lot easier with such a happy Family. I took many more Photos than usual, as we covered as many combinations as everyone could remember at the time. Here’s a few of my favourites:

Kayley is the 4yo Daughter of Friends of ours, and she’s certainly not shy in front of the Camera – or ever, for that matter! We kept it local and just headed to a nearby Park in Springfield Lakes to take some quick Photos, but ended up with heaps! At the end of the Shoot, she had a quick play on the Playground – so we took more Photos there too! Here’s a few of my Favourites!

For the past 2 Years I have Photographed the Elite School of Dance End-of-Year Concerts. Elite has Studio’s in Sherwood, Graceville & Sinnamon Park and offers classes in Jazz, Classical Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop & Contemporary Dance. On the day, my main purpose is to photograph group shots of each dance, but I’ll often take a few during the actual performance. Despite the low light and fast movements I can usually catch a few decent shots. Here’s a few of my favourites:

A couple of weeks ago I Photographed Chris & Tara. It was about to rain and we were pushed for time – but as it turned out, this could possibly have been my new ‘favourite’ Shoot. We found a location with lots of good colours and backdrops plus the overcast day allowed for great lighting. Additionally, it’s makes my job even easier when you shoot a couple that is comfortable as these two were infront of the Camera! We got heaps fo great Photos, but here are a few of my favourites:

Recently I did my first ever Glamour style Photoshoot. Valentines Day was approaching and Megan wanted something different for her Boyfriend who lives interstate. I had recently invested in some new Studio Lighting and was keen to test it out. Megan was only new to this sort of thing also, so together we bluffed our way through and ended up with some shots she (and her Boyfriend) were very happy with! Here’s a couple of my favourites:

Late 2011, my Wife Sarah was invited to Teach a Beginners Hip Hop Dance Class at Camira State School, for the Students to perform at their end-of-year Christmas Concert. So we thought we’d do the whole thing properly and began Sarah Morton Dance Choreography. To help with the process, I took some Promo type shots to advertise with. At the time, this was my first real ‘studio’ type shoot, so it was a bit of a learning experience, but I think we got there in the end. Below are some of my favourite Photos from the day:

My First Puppy Photoshoot! This is Pippa, she is about 11 weeks old. The Shoot was heaps of fun, however Puppies are actually quite difficult to Photograph as they rarely want to stay in the one spot for long! We managed to catch a couple that turned out great. Here are a few of my favourites.

My first Photoshoot of 2012 was with Gavin, Eva and their new Baby Elliott. Elliott would have normally only been a week old had he arrived on time, however he decided he’d surprise Mum & Dad early, so he was already a few weeks old for this Shoot. This was only about my 3rd attempt at a New Born style Shoot, but despite Elliott’s best attempts to make the shoot as long as possible, we managed to get some great shots. Here’s a few of my Favourites.

On Sunday I made my first trip to the Roma Street Parklands to take some Family Portraits of friends of ours Casey & Laura and they’re new Baby Lucy! We had to be quick to catch Lucy, as she was more interested in the Camera itself, than having her Photo taken. Haha. However, I ended up with whole bunch of great Photos! Here are some of my Favourites.
